“국민의힘은 트럼프와 공조하여 한미 부정선거 척결에 즉각 동참하라”

2026년 1월3일 미국 트럼프 대통령은 베네수엘라 니콜라스 마드로 대통령 부부를 무혈 체포해 미국으로 압송했다고 공식 발표했다. 

이는 약 30년간 부정과 부패로 지속된 베네수엘라 사회주의 독재 체제의 실질적 붕괴를 알리는 역사적 전환점으로 기록될 것이다. 730만 해외동포는 트럼프 대통령의 이 결단을 전제 권력에 제동을 건 ‘현대판 마그나카르타’로 평가하며 적극 지지한다.

트럼프의 글로벌 부정선거 카르텔 척결 의지 표방

이번 조치는 표면상 중국공산당(CCP)의 ‘일대일로(一带一路, BRI)’로 연결된 불법 마약거래 근절이나 기실 20여 년간 베네수엘라가 스마트매틱(Smartmatic) 전자개표기를 통해 미국 포함 전 세계 72개국 이상에 부정선거를 확산시켜 온 글로벌 부정선거 카르텔을 척결하는 데 있다. 

트럼프 대통령은 2025년 12월25일 중국 화웨이(China’s Huawei)를 바탕으로 한 한국의 미루시스템(Miru Systems) 또한 A-WEB을 통해 CCP와 연관되어 직간접 부정선거를 획책해 왔다고 시사했다(참고 Gary Bernsten & Ralph Pezzullo의 저서 STOLEN ELECTION).

그럼에도 이재명정부는 이러한 국제 정세와 미국의 문제 제기에 반대 입장을 취하며 트럼프 대통령과 지속적으로 충돌해 왔다. 특히 선거 투명성에 대한 국내외 우려를 ‘가짜뉴스’로 규정해 온 태도에 해외동포는 깊은 분노와 우려를 표한다.

실제로 이재명 대통령은 2025년 11월23일 남아프리카공화국 순방 중 동포 간담회에서 해외동포 편의를 이유로 전자·우편투표 도입을 추진하겠다고 밝혔다. 이는 같은 날 트럼프 대통령이 2020년 미국 대선의 우편투표 부정선거 의혹을 공식 제기한 직후였다. 

이후 국민의힘 주진우 의원은 미국·독일·프랑스 등 G7 국가들이 해킹 위험 차단을 위해 전자개표기를 폐지하고 수개표로 회귀하고 있다고 지적하며 강하게 반대했다.

해외동포 역시 주의원 입장에 동의한다. 선거에서 편의성보다 우선돼야 할 가치는 투명성과 신뢰성이다. 

그동안 △사전투표 전자개표기 △우편투표 대리투표 △허위 등록 등 각종 부정선거 의혹이 반복돼 왔으며, 특히 해외투표는 구조적으로 가장 취약한 영역으로 지적돼 왔다. 

실제 6·3 대선 당시 해외투표율은 80%였고, 재외투표에서 이재명 후보 득표율은 66.4%로 전체 평균 49.42%보다 약 17%p 높았다.

트럼프 대통령은 베네수엘라 해커들과 중국공산당의 선거 개입 실태를 파악한 뒤, 2025년 11월24일 트루스소셜을 통해 “모든 역량을 부정선거 척결에 집중하라”고 선언했다. 

이어 11월29일에는 한국을 포함한 100여 개국에서 미국 납세자 자금이 부정선거에 사용됐을 가능성을 제기했다. 12월2일 텍사스주가 100% 종이투표 의무화를 발표하자, 같은 날 이재명 대통령은 국무회의에서 중국과 부정선거 관련 의혹을 전면 부인했다. 

이후 2026년 1월3일 트럼프 대통령은 마두로를 전격 체포했고, 같은 시기 이재명 대통령은 기업인들과 함께 중국 시진핑을 방문했다. 이 대비는 해외동포들에게 깊은 우려를 안긴다.

부정선거 척결과 관련해 대한민국에 고하는 말

이에 우리는 트럼프 행정부의 마두로 정권 축출을 다시 한번 축하하며 다음을 강력히 요구한다.

첫째, 부정선거 의혹을 받는 이재명 대통령은 재판을 재개하고 직에서 물러나 법적 판단을 받아야 한다.

둘째, 부정선거 카르텔 척결을 위해 계엄을 선포했던 윤석열 전 대통령을 즉각 석방하고 직무를 회복시켜야 한다.

셋째, 전자개표기, 사전·우편투표를 폐지하고 당일투표·현장수개표 체제로 전환하라. 특히 해외 전자투표 계획을 중단하고, 영사관 주재 여야 대표 입회하에 즉시 수개표·실시간 보고 체계를 구축하라.

넷째, 국민의힘 장동혁 대표는 선관위 보안부실 포함 선거 공명성을 공론화하고 트럼프 행정부와 공조해 한미 부정선거 의혹을 철저히 규명하라.

730만 해외동포는 더불어민주당 정권이 도덕성 합법성 정통성이 결려된 점이 마드로 체제와 동일하다본다. 특히 친중 노선, 부정선거 논란, 사회주의적 경제 정책, 사법부 장악 시도, 야당·언론 압박 등의 유사한 궤적을 보이고 있음에 깊은 우려를 표한다. 

우리는 다시 한번 트럼프 대통령 지휘하에 델타포스 군대요원들의 목숨 건 ‘베네수엘라 구하기’에 경의를 표한다. 베네수엘라의 몰락이 대한민국의 미래가 되지 않도록 모국 국민과 함께 끝까지 자유민주체제 수호를 위해 노력하고 행동할 것이다.

Urgent Statement from Overseas Koreans: We Actively Welcome President Trump's Arrest of Venezuelan President Maduro and His Wife

[The People Power Party Must Cooperate with Trump and Immediately Join the Fight to Eliminate Corruption in the Korea-US Elections]

On January 3, 2026, US President Trump officially announced that he had successfully apprehended Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his wife without bloodshed, and that they were being sent to the United States. This marks a historical turning point that signals the practical collapse of Venezuela’s socialist dictatorship, which has been sustained for nearly 30 years through corruption and abuse of power. The 7.3 million overseas Koreans strongly support President Trump's decision, recognizing it as a "modern Magna Carta" that puts a brake on authoritarian power.

On the surface, this move is aimed at eradicating illegal drug trafficking linked to China’s Belt and Road Initiative. In fact, the Trump Adminstration aims to dismantle the global election-rigging cartel, which has been spreading fraudulent elections for over 20 years through the use of Smartmatic electronic voting machines in over 72 countries, including the United States.

President Trump also hinted in his statement on December 25, 2025, that Miru Systems of South Korea, through Aweb and its connection to CCP, had been involved in indirect and direct election manipulation via China’s Huawei (See STOLEN ELECTION by Gary Bernsten & Ralph Pezzullo).

Despite this, the LEEJae Myung government has continued to oppose such international developments and issues raised by the US, clashing with President Trump. Particularly, the Korea left leaned - government’s stance of labeling concerns about election transparency as "fake news" has caused deep anger and concern among overseas Koreans.

In fact, on November 23, 2025, during his trip to South Africa, President LEE Jae-myung announced his plans to introduce electronic and mail-in voting to ease the voting process for overseas Koreans. This announcement came right after President Trump raised official concerns regarding fraud in the US mail-in ballots during the 2020 election. 

Later, People Power Party lawmaker Joo Jin-woo pointed out that G7 countries, including the US, Germany, and France, had abolished electronic voting machines to prevent hacking risks and had returned to paper ballots. He strongly opposed the plan.

Overseas Koreans agree with the position of the opposition lawmaker. In elections, transparency and trustworthiness should take precedence over convenience. Various allegations of election fraud, including advance voting electronic tallying, mail-in proxy voting, and false registrations, have been recurring issues. 

Particularly, overseas voting has been recognized as the most vulnerable area. For example, during the 2025 6/3 early presidential election, the overseas voting rate was 80%, and LEE Jae-myung received 66.4% of the overseas vote, which is about 17% higher than the national average of 49.42% (It is alleged that even this figure was manipulated) .

President Trump, after investigating election interference by Venezuelan hackers and the Chinese Communist Party, declared on November 24, 2025, via Truth Social to "focus all efforts on eliminating election fraud." On November 29, he raised concerns about the possible use of US taxpayer money for election fraud in over 100 countries, including South Korea. 

On December 2, when Texas announced a mandate for 100% paper ballots, President Lee Jae-myung denied any allegations of election fraud or Chinese involvement at a state council meeting. Then, on January 3, 2026, President Trump arrested Maduro, while President Lee Jae-myung visited China to meet with Xi Jinping. This contrast raises deep concerns among overseas Koreans.

In light of this, we once again congratulate the Trump administration on the ousting of the Maduro regime and strongly demand the following:

1. President LEEJae-myung, who is under suspicion of election fraud, must resume his trial, step down from office, and submit to legal judgment.

2. Former President YOONSuk-yeol, who declared martial law to eliminate the election fraud cartel, must be immediately released and restored to his duties.

3. The use of electronic voting machines, early voting, and mail-in voting should be abolished. The system must return to same-day voting with on-site paper ballot counting. Specifically, the overseas electronic voting plan should be halted, and a system for on-site paper counting and real-time reporting should be established, with the participation of both ruling and opposition representatives at consulates.

4.People Power Party (Conservative) leader Jang Dong-hyeok should bring attention to the security vulnerabilities within the election commission and work with the Trump administration to thoroughly investigate the allegations of election fraud between Korea and the US.

The 7.3 million overseas Koreans believe that the moral, legal, and legitimate issues of the current Democratic Party administration are similar to those of the Maduro regime. The administration’s pro-China stance, election fraud controversies, socialist economic policies, attempts to control the judiciary, and pressure on opposition parties and the media raise significant concerns. 

We once again pay our respects to President Trump for his leadership in saving Venezuela with the help of Delta Force soldiers. We will continue to work together with the people of South Korea to protect the free democratic system and ensure that Venezuela’s downfall does not become South Korea’s future.
